Gov. Perdue Announces $1.6 Million to Two North Carolina Organizations
October 20, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has selected two North Carolina organizations – the Land-of-Sky Regional Council in Asheville and the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation in Greensboro – as recipients of $1.6 million each in grant awards to support more livable and sustainable communities.

GREENSBORO, NC - July 9, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan today awarded $29,078,387 in grants to nine grantees in North Carolina to rapidly re-house families who fall into homelessness, or prevent them from becoming homeless in the first place.
