Congresswoman Adams Announces More Than $3.5 Million in HUD Funding for Greensboro
Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) today announced $3,574,061 in federal funding for Greensboro, North Carolina. The funding was allocated through four U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant programs and will be used to support housing initiatives to help those in need. Greensboro will receive $1,967,294 through the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG), $177,108 through the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program, $1,108,477 through the HOME program and $321,182 through the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program

The U.S. House today passed H.R. 1734, Improving Coal Combustion Residuals Regulation Act of 2015. Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) introduced an amendment to H.R. 1734 that would have required regular water-well testing as well as the creation of a public website containing up-to-date water quality information.
