McIntyre Announces Over $9 Million For Improvements to Bladen County Multi Family Housing Units
WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 30, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today $9,330,613 in federal funds to make improvements to six different multi-family housing units in Bladen County.
Congressman McIntyre stated, “Making sure that citizens and families have a nice place to call home is a priority, and these federal funds will make a difference in improving lives and communities. These are our taxpaying dollars coming home to make a difference, and this is a great day for Bladen County residents!”
The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has approved the following:
$2,460,613 for Mercer Road Apartments
$1,500,000 for Hill Estates
$925,000 for Hilltop Estates
$1,750,000 for Oak Estates
$1,575,000 for Rosewood Estates
$1,120,000 for Village Street
These federal funds will be used in combination with Low Income Housing Tax Credits to provide extensive rehabilitation to the 300 plus units of these multi-family housing complexes. Congressman McIntyre is a senior member of the U.S. House Agriculture Committee.
