Building Bridges for a Brighter Future

RALEIGH – October 15, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The N.C. Department of Transportation invites all middle and high schools to participate in what has become an exciting, yet competitive event at the NCDOT — the 17th Annual Statewide Model Bridge Building Competition. The competition is designed to create a greater awareness of STEM education and its relationship to transportation careers provided by NCDOT.

The competition encourages active involvement of students in constructing and applying mathematical concepts, expanding problem solving skills and team work, as well as promoting research and presentation skills.

Four regional competitions will be held across the state on Friday, March 11, 2016 in Winterville, Raleigh, Asheboro and Morganton.
