Asheviile, NC – March 16, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Yes, Asheville and Western North Carolina has been the set and the backdrop for Hollywood movies before, “Last of the Mohicans” and many more, but now, it’s all about “The Hunger Games” which impresses the big screen on March 23rd.

Both Asheville, and parts of Western North Carolina were the settings for much of this widely anticipated film, pulled from a best selling novel. Asheville locals and visitors alike were ignited with the Hunger Games fever last summer, as filming was taking place here. There is much talk around town about “The Hunger Games” opening night and we thought we would give you the low down on what the stars and cast of this movie enjoyed while living in their summer haven – downtown Asheville!

Here is the rare opportunity to experience where it all happened, and why the world should know how special Asheville, North Carolina really is!

A good night’s sleep is always important, and Jennifer Lawrence and her celebrity co-stars enjoyed their rest between shooting scenes in the luxurious condos located in downtown Asheville, The Ashevile Club at 151, atop Hotel Indigo. This chic boutique hotel and private residence club was within walking distance from the Grove Arcade and a variety of amazing restaurant choices for the stars and directors of the movie for months.

Did you know these downtown condos are actually for sale as a luxury fractional ownership? Many don’t but word is spreading quickly, with some help from the buzz around the movie. The stars must have loved the panoramic views of downtown Asheville, especially around amazing WNC sunsets! The cast of the movie as well as the Owners at the Asheville Club find it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of filming, or exploring the vibrant downtown area.

Asheville is widely known for great food and entertainment! These stars sipped cocktails at The Southern, browsed books at Malaprop’s Bookstore & Cafe, and enjoyed a glass of bubbly at Battery Park Book Exchange. For adventure, these thrill seekers ziplined Navitat and enjoyed the rapids with Wildwater Rafting.

Josh Hutcherson and Vanesa Hudgens replenished with dinner from Lexington Avenue Brewery. Do you think the acclaimed sliders were on the menu? Wasabi served up fresh sushi for the actors cast as the Tributes, followed by late night Pac-Man shoot-outs at the arcade.

Rumor has it that the sequel, “Catching Fire” movie crew and cast members, will return to Asheville, creating more “Hunger Games” fever!
