Greensboro Beautiful Announces Neighborhood Initiative Grants Program


GREENSBORO, NC, Nov. 16, 2007 — Greensboro Beautiful, Inc. announces that applications are now available for the 2007-08 Neighborhood Initiative Grants Program for beautification and ecology efforts on city property within our community. Grants awarded under this program range from $250 to $1,000 and will be announced in March 2008.

Neighborhood associations, civic groups and clubs are encouraged to apply for funding assistance available through this program. The application deadline is February 1, 2008.

The purpose of the program is to assist groups with funding their beautification and ecology projects, which further enhances and/or restores city property. The program is being coordinated in partnership with the Greensboro Parks & Recreation and Field Operations departments.
