Governor McCrory Announces Appointments to the North Carolina Education and Workforce Innovation Commission

Raleigh, NC – December 20, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments to the North Carolina Education and Workforce Innovation Commission today:

  • Billie Redmond (Wake County) – Redmond is the CEO of TradeMark Properties, a North Carolina-based property management, leasing and brokerage services company. In May 2011, she completed 10 years of service to WakeMed Health and Hospitals board of directors, the last two years as chair. Currently, she is serving on the Ripple Effect Campaign for Wake Tech Community College.
  • Rod Webb (Wake County) – Webb is the senior vice president  of New Bridge Bank. He is an experienced financial advisor and licensed real estate broker. He has over 19 years of consumer, small business, commercial operating company and commercial real estate entity experience.

The commission is responsible for the administration of the newly established Education and Workforce Innovation Fund.

This fund will award grants to successful innovative education programs that combine academic rigor and skills development with the goal of graduating every student both college and career ready. Each term length is two years.
