Outer Banks Real Estate Owners Invited to the 3rd Annual Night at the Races

Devil Hills, NC – March 14, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — The 3rd Annual Night at the Race, which will be held on the 17th of March at the Hilton Garden Inn, is sponsored by the Corolla Wild Horse Fund together with former professional jockey Jeffrey Carle. Paying guests will be entitled to receive $30 playing money which they may use for any or the six races slated for the night. They may also participate in the various contests that will be held throughout the event while enjoying refreshing hors d’oeuvres.

Other activities that make up the event’s program include etched wine glass sales, a silent auction, a cash bar, and lots of raffles. Guests are invited to don their most delightful headpieces as there will also be a contest for the best hat for ladies and gentlemen. No guest will go home with heavy spirits as there are also prizes prepared for both winners and losers.

One of the new features for this year’s fundraiser is the exciting opportunity to sponsor and name a racehorse for just $20. This may be done by signing up at the registration page for the event.

All the funds raised during the event will directly benefit the foundation’s herd of Colonial Spanish Mustangs in support of its “Keep Them Wild & Free” campaign. Aside from organizing fundraising events, the foundation also regularly hosts horse tours and manages two museum stores. One may be found in the Old Corolla Schoolhouse’s Wild Horse Museum while the other is in the premises of the Corolla Light Town Center.

The Corolla Wild Horses were described in 1995 as one of the state’s most significant cultural and historical resources from the coastal area by the Department of Cultural Resources Secretary Betty McCain. These horses are, however, also a part of the American Livestock Breed Conservancy’s threatened list of breeds.

Participants who purchase tickets in advance may pay a discounted rate of $30 while tickets purchased on the day of the event will be priced at $40. Hilton Garden Inn, the chosen venue for the event, is located in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Those staying at the hotel are also entitled to special discounted rates if they wish to participate in the event, too.Outer Banks real estate owners who wish to know more about the event may email their inquiries to programs (at) corollawildhorses (dot) com.
