Outer Banks Real Estate Owners Go All Out for the 27th Annual Feast

-

Outer Banks, NC – January 27, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — It’s that time of the year again for Outer Bank real estate owners. With the 11th of February – the designated date for the 27th Annual Oyster Feast in Outer Banks, North Carolina – fast approaching, residents are pitching in and doing the best they can to make 2012’s sumptuous oyster festival more spectacular than ever.

The Oyster Fest of Outer Banks is one of the oldest oyster festivals in the state. Considered one of the most important hubs of commercial activity in North Carolina, the oyster industry alone is also responsible for serving as a food source for the state’s finfish and crab production, which cumulatively earn $62M every year.

Although oysters are also notoriously recognized for being an aphrodisiac, this is not to say that it has no other benefits to offer. Zinc, for instance, does not only increase testosterone production in men, but also improves energy production in both men and women. High zinc levels are also considered to be effective for increasing the body’s defense against infections.

According to experts, oysters are also high in protein, particularly tyrosine, a type of amino acid that is essential in regulating stress levels and a person’s moods. Last but not the least, oysters have very low fat and cholesterol levels, thus making them especially beneficial for people suffering from hypertension or high blood pressure.

Bayview Chapel sponsors this year’s Oyster Feast, which will take place at the Stumpy Point Community Center from 12:00NN to 5:00 p.m. The Oyster Feast is one of the most popular events in town and one most Outer Banks real estate owners look forward to. Every year, hundreds of visitors join the locals in participating in the all-you-can-eat affair, a time in which the night comes alive with fun and laughter as well as the delicious scent of a ceaseless flow of steamed and fried oysters together with fried fish and numerous other gastronomical wonders from the local area.

Yet another event during the feast that most people look forward to is the traditional bake sale, for which various pastry enthusiasts present their sweetest creations.

Admission fee for the event is quite affordable, with adults only having to pay $25 pax while children ten years old and below are only charged $10.

Prospective and new Outer Banks real estate owners who are interested in joining in this year’s Oyster Feast are more than welcome to contact the Bayview Chapel at 473-5869.
