Public Invited to Attend Housing Forum on RUCO Law
GREENSBORO, NC - May 19, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Do you know your rights and responsibilities under the new Rental Unit Certificate of Occupancy (RUCO) ordinance, which requires all residential rental property in Greensboro—occupied and vacant—to be inspected prior to leasing? If not, or if you just want to learn additional information, join local housing experts for a Housing Forum on Thursday, May 21, from 6-8 pm at the Peeler Recreation Center, 1300 Sykes Ave.
The panelists include Dan Reynolds, City of Greensboro’s manager of Codes Enforcement, Cheryl Gant, City of Greensboro’s Fair Housing specialist, Lisa Dellinger of TREBIC, Jason Austin of Greensboro Landlord’s Association, and representatives from the Greensboro Housing Coalition. They will discuss the RUCO ordinance, responsibilities of tenants and landlords, fair housing rules and much more.
